Listeners Everywhere! WFDU at the 2026 Hudson River Music Festival

What a day! 🌞🎶

On Sunday, June 21, WFDU headed to the 2026 Hudson River Music Festival at Croton Point Park, and wow... you all blew us away! 🥰

Back in the late 1960s, legendary folk musician Pete Seeger and his wife Toshi envisioned an outdoor festival along the Hudson River that would inspire people to appreciate its beauty and join the effort to restore and protect it. More than fifty years later, that vision is still going strong and we were thrilled to be part of it this year! 🌎

What we didn't expect was how many WFDU listeners would find us! From longtime fans to younger listeners discovering us through family and friends, there was a steady stream of people stopping by our colorful tent all day long. Every few minutes we'd hear, "I listen to WFDU!" and it absolutely made our day. 🤩

Huge thanks to hosts Andrew and Bob O. from our Grateful Dead show Morning Dew on WFDU HD2 for turning us on to this incredible event! Shoutout as well to Gale Martin, Bob Morris, host of Half Dead on HD1, and Opie, who spent the day meeting listeners, handing out goodies, and spreading the RetroRadio love. ☮💖

The weather was perfect, the music was fantastic, and the WFDU family showed up in a BIG way. We left with smiles on our faces and our minds completely blown by the support! 🤯
